Andrea Ewart earned a B.A. from the Patrice Lumumba People's Friendship University in Moscow, Russia, where she completed all her course work in Russian. Her thesis was written in Russian and placed third among a graduating class of foreign and Russian students. She received an M.A. in International Studies from the University of Miami, Florida. She graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law, which she attended as a Harvey Reid scholar on a full three-year scholarship. (In fact, she is proud of the fact that she never had to pay tuition for all her years of study.)

International Expertise
Prior to attending law school, Andrea Ewart developed strong expertise in international affairs and policy, with a regional focus in the Caribbean and the states of the Commonwealth of Independent States, including Russia. She has several years experience in analyzing and monitoring Eurasian and Caribbean issues.

Andrea Ewart is a U.S. citizen and a Jamaican by birth and nationality. She is proficient in Russian and French and has limited function in Spanish. Her years of study and work in the Caribbean, Russia, and the United States, as well as her broad travel experience have helped to make her a multicultural professional with the ability to understand and to function in a variety of cultures.
